Between October 17 and 20, an anonymous Ukrainian-language Facebook account called Правда Тв (1; 2; 3; 4; 5) shared videos showing Ukrainian soldiers and male employees of the police and the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support kissing each other.

The disseminated videos were created using artificial intelligence with the aim of discrediting the Ukrainian military, the Ukrainian police, and the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

The videos shared on Facebook are AI-generated. Several details indicate this, including the unnaturally similar lighting in the clips and the large yellow-and-black inscription “ТЦК” (Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support) on the uniforms. The artificial nature of the videos is further proven by the fact that, in some frames, the faces and hands appear blurry and blended together.

The videos were also verified using InVID’s AI detection tool. In the cases where faces were clearly visible, the tool easily identified signs of artificial intelligence use.

As for the Правда Тв account, it was created on July 4, 2022, and, according to the “Page Transparency” section, is managed from the Czech Republic. The account regularly publishes posts, including AI-generated videos, critical of the Ukrainian government and, particularly, of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
