The editorial policy of Sezoni TV is distinctly anti-Western. The channel frequently disseminates narratives aligned with Russian interests, as well as disinformation targeting the West.
The channel’s editorial policy is largely shaped by its anchor, Nikoloz Mzhavanadze, who also heads the “Union of Human Rights Defenders”. Mzhavanadze is known for his Turkophobic, anti-liberal rhetoric and is frequently the source of sexist and homophobic statements. Mzhavanadze previously served as a host on the pro-Kremlin outlets “Alt-info” and “Obieqtivi”. He is also the general Director of the news agency “Taonews”
Sezoni TV, owned and directed by boxer Giorgi Kandelaki, was registered in 2021 and began broadcasting in the same year after obtaining a license. Kandelaki is known for his support of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. He was a member of the society “Goreli”, which has repeatedly petitioned the Gori city council to reinstate the Stalin monument in Gori. He is also a member of the movement “Together for a Strong Georgia”, which openly promotes Soviet nostalgia and support for Stalin. Kandelaki himself has been demanding the return of the Stalin Statue for many years and has organized numerous protests in support of this cause, including in cooperation with the Communist Party of Georgia.
In addition to Sezoni TV, Kandelaki owns several other businesses.
As of July 21, 2025, Sezoni TV has 23 000 followers on Facebook and 7061 followers on TikTok.
