On October 6, 2023, Facebook page “Zoommer Laptops” published a post encouraging customers to purchase laptops for as low as 5,5 GEL. According to the ad, the company is not happy with the quality of the laptops received, therefore, “Zoommer” wants to get rid of them as quickly as possible – hence the low price. Another page with a similar name, “Laptops Sale Zoommer” advertises the same content.
On October 5, another page called “Jase Robbins” posted an announcement stating that phones that are older than a year will be thrown away. Therefore, the shop generously gives it away for a price of 5,5 GEL.
Additionally, the Ad Library of the Laptops Sale Zoommer and Jase Robbins Facebook pages show that the content about the alleged campaign has been sponsored.
All of the pages mentioned above contain signs of scam, as the official page of Zoommer has not made any offer similar to the first and second claims. In addition, the page “Jase Robbins” has a history of posting similar types of content in the Swedish language.

Page “Zoommer Laptops” is a fake replica of the real tech shop and has no connections to Zoommer.
Despite having a similar profile picture and cover image to the Real Zoommer page, it is easily identifiable that “Zoommer Laptops” is fake. First, we look at the info section:
Official Zoommer page: | Zoommer Laptops: |

![]() |
From the first look, we see that only the intro is the same. For Zoommer Laptops, there is no specific address, while the original page clearly states it. E-mail is also suspicious for the Zoommer Laptops page since it has an unofficial domain ending.
Aside from that, the page “Zoommer Laptops” was created on the 6th of October, the same day the ad was disseminated.
Other posts are copied without any change from the original Zoommer page.
The post has comments that express satisfaction with the ‘sale.’ These comments are clearly not made by Georgian users.
Moreover, by going through the commenters’ profiles, we quickly find a pattern. All of them have the same profile and cover pictures. And all of them are created after September 2022, some are even less than a month old.
Examples:
Aside from page-related suspicions, the laptops shown in the photo, Lenovo ideapad 3 15itl6, simply are not sold by Zoommer.
Other versions of the Ideapad 3 are priced ranging from 1200 to 2500 GEL.

The page “Laptops Sale Zoommer” shows signs of a scam page.
The composition of this page is basically the same as the Zoommer Laptops. The main scam ad is the same and was launched a day before the one from Zoommer Laptops.
Contact information can be considered more well-disguised compared to the previous example, however, the email is still unofficial and the address is general:
The page was created on the 5th of October.

The page “Jase Robbins” shows multiple signs of being a scam page.
This page also implies affiliation with Zoommer, as shown in the picture:
The page does not provide any contact information at all:
Furthermore, the page was created on the 6th of September in 2022. However, the posts and the comments from that date are purely in Swedish:
With design and the content of the posts being virtually the same.
After clicking to Learn more, Jase Robbins page leads to 7towin2.shop, which contains fraudulent content. Page informs customers that they have joined the Zoomer campaign and are able to purchase phone 14 Pro for only 5,5 Gel.

The two pages seem to be connected
Besides trademark 5,5 GEL, there seem to be more similarities between the pages. First is obviously their similar activity timeframe. These pages posted scam announcements with a day difference. Moreover, both pages try to disguise or affiliate themselves with Zoommer.
However, there seems to be a similarity in their satisfied “users” too.
For example, the same accounts can be noticed expressing satisfaction in the comment sections of both pages, sometimes in different languages!
