On April 22, a video was shared on Facebook showing the interior of a bombed church. According to the description, the church was the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

The church seen in the video is not the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The video actually shows the Zaporizhzhia Cathedral, which was damaged in January 2025 as a result of Russian shelling.

The damaged church seen in the circulated footage is not the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In reality, the footage shows the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Zaporizhzhia, which was damaged on January 18, 2025, during a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. This cathedral is under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate. Information about the incident has been reported in various media outlets. Videos shared by Ukrainian media clearly show that the interior ceiling is damaged. The same identical image appears in the video circulating on social media.
