On August 7, the Facebook page Simartlis Droa (Time of Truth) shared a video clip featuring United National Movement Chairperson Tinatin Bokuchava. The video begins with the question, “Misha or husband?” to which Bokuchava replies, “It is easy because I like both of them very much.”
In the comments under the video, the politician was linked to Mikheil Saakashvili and subjected to offensive language.
Tina Bokuchava’s video has been edited. The original footage, titled “Kakhetian Quiz,” is posted on the politician’s TikTok account. In the original video, Bokuchava answers the question, “Barbeque or lamb stew?”
On August 3, Telavi hosted the Democracy Festival, organized by the nongovernmental organization Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD), in which Tina Bokuchava, among other politicians, participated. The aforementioned video was filmed on that day, and posted on Bokuchava’s Tik-Tok account on August 5 with the caption: “Kakhetian Quiz was not easy.” During the quiz, the politician was asked various questions about Kakheti. Instead of “Misha or the husband,” she was asked, “Barbeque or lamb stew?” to which Bokuchava replied that although she likes both very much, she prefers barbeque.
