Georgian progovernment radio spnews.io, several Russian (1, 2, 3, 4) and Georgian speaking Facebook accounts have recently shared information claiming that Donald Trump is appointing Tucker Carlson as the White House Press Secretary. Some Facebook accounts share only text, while others post screenshots designed to resemble official statements from Trump. The screenshot indicates that the statement was made on November 13, 2024.

I am honored to announce that I have named Tucker Carlson to serve as White House Press Secretary, Donald Trump allegedly stated.

Tucker Carlson Screenshot 2024 11 19 170932 2 Fabricated statement suggesting Trump appointing Tucker Carlson as White House Press Secretary The statement attributed to Donald Trump is fabricated. There has been no official announcement claiming that Tucker Carlson was nominated as Press Secretary. On November 15, it was revealed that Trump has chosen media personality Karoline Leavitt as his White House press secretary.

აThere’s no statement about Tucker Carlson neither on Donald Trump’s official website nor X(former Twitter) account, where he lately posted other statements. Neither Trump nor Carlson have confirmed that appointment.

Tucker Carlson, a prominent conservative media personality, has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. In a November 2023 interview, Carlson stated, “I’m voting for Trump, and if they convict him, I will send him the max donations and I will lead protests.

The statement attributed to Trump has already been fact checked by the different organizations (usatoday.com, newsweek.com). On November 15, Trump announced that his national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, will serve as White House press secretary.
