On July 8, a Georgian-language Facebook account published a screenshot of the post of Irma Inashvili, one of the leaders of the pro-Kremlin “Alliance of Patriots” party. In the published post, Inashvili talks about Bidzina Ivanishvili and notes that he has exhausted himself and should give the floor to real Georgians, such as Koka Morgoshia, who will be nominated to be the next Prime Minster. The same account has published another screenshot, which shows a photo of Koka Morgosia and a quote, in which Morgoshia thanks Davit Tarkhan-Mouravi for submitting his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister. It is also worth noting that the logo of pro-Kremlin Alt-Info is attached to the screenshot.
The quotes disseminated under the name of Irma Inashvili and Koka Morgoshia are fabricated. A similar statement was not published on the Facebook pages of Irma Inashvili and Koka Morgoshia, nor was it found in other open sources. Inashvili also responded to the post on her Facebook page, noting that the statement attributed to her is fabricated.
In June 2024, after the registration of the “Conservative Movement” party was revoked by the public registry, the party joined the “Alliance of Patriots” party. On June 11, Zurab Makharadze announced that the “Conservative Movement” would participate in the elections through the “Alliance of Patriots”, and on June 24, the “Alliance of Patriots”, individual organizations included in it, and the “Conservative Movement” submitted and signed a joint declaration. According to Irma Inashvili, the union will participate in the 2024 parliamentary elections. Inashvili also noted that not only they will cross the threshold, but they will enter the parliament with an “impressive composition”, although the representatives of these parties did not discuss the candidacy of the prime minister.
Irma Inashvili herself responded to the disseminated quote on her personal Facebook page. According to her, the quote is fake and when she decides to spread a statement, she will use her personal Facebook page.
As for the quote published under the name of Konstantine Morgoshia, it is not found either on Alt-Info or Morgoshia’s Facebook page.
The Georgian-language Facebook account “Healthy Power” is allegedly linked to Irakli Jankarashvili, as his quotes and the materials of the publicist.ge platform affiliated with him (1,2,3) are distributed on it. It should be noted that in the past, Jankarashvili was an active supporter of the “Alliance of Patriots”, and in recent months, he became a supporter of the “Georgian Dream” (1, 2,3).
At this stage, Jankarashvili manages the following Facebok accounts: “Prime Minister“, “Anti-Liberal Doctrine“, Facebook page publicist.ge, where, in addition to pro-government and anti-Western posts, he publishes posts from his information platform Publicist.ge. Jankarashvili was an author/writer at Tvalsazrisi.ge and News Front Georgia in the past. Through his various accounts, Facebook page, and platform, Jankarashvili has repeatedly disseminated information containing both disinformation and manipulation, in addition, he has repeatedly participated in discrediting campaigns.
