On January 17, an anonymous Facebook account, “Fight for Freedom,” and other Facebook users (1;2) spread quotes attributed to Dimitri Khundadze of the People’s Power party, in which he allegedly talks about taking up arms to defend the government. One image reads: “Do not force us to take arms and go out into the streets to defend the legitimate government and president.” Another image contains a similar quote: “Do not bring things to the point where we have to take arms for the protection of the legitimate government.”
Fake quotes attributed to Dimitri Khundadze is circulating on the social network. Such statements by the politician cannot be found in open sources. Khundadze himself commented about the fabricated quote, denying its authenticity.

“You morons really are so desperate that you have nothing left but to spread fakes?! This is your truth and responsibility!!”, Khundadze wrote, attaching a photo labeled “Fake.”
