On July 1, a video was published on the Facebook page of TV channel Kavkasia, claiming that a burglar and a dog became friends.
A video, which supposedly shows a thief befriending a dog, is being shared with a misleading description. In reality, the video is humorous in nature, does not depict a robbery, and was filmed by a TikTok user with his own dog.
The video was first posted on June 24 by TikTok user beauxworld_ with the caption, “When you catch the person that breaks into your home playing with your dog.” The description of the video reads, “If the dog likes him, he can come back anytime.”
The beauxworld_ TikTok account is entirely focused on his dog, Beau, and features various entertaining videos involving the dog.
In the circulated video, the dog is unusually friendly toward the “stranger,” prompting many TikTok users to comment that the dog must know the person. On July 6, beauxworld_ posted another video that makes it even clearer that he himself is playing the role of the “thief.” In the video, the “burglar” dances, plays with the dog, feeds it, and holds up a banner in front of the camera.
In the comments on the second video, one user noted that the person in the video is actually the dog’s owner, which is why the dog is so calm. To this, beauxworld_ replied, “Couldn’t help myself.”
Another user mentioned that the video was shared on X as if it reflected the reality.
