On August 19, an online edition Georgia and the World published an article titled “American Elite Took a Fancy to Satanism”. As the article reads, the United States is governed by Satanists which is evidenced by criminal chronicles of Hollywood. The article mentions that Brad Pitt agrees with this opinion and that he “let slip” about pedophilia in the American elite in one of his interviews.

Georgia and the World: “Ritual murders in Hollywood. Have you heard anything about the Illuminati? Secret societies, politicians, bankers… All of them are pedophiles and they are the ones running the world. Their roots are in Hollywood, as a famous actor, Brad Pitt let slip in his interview.”

The authenticity of Brad Pitt’s interview mentioned by Georgia and the World could not be confirmed. The primary source of the article is NeonNettle.com where such news could not be found. The website itself is famous for spreading conspiracy theories and fictitious news.

The claim that Brad Pitt was disseminating anti-American narrative against the Hollywood “elite” spread first in 2017. According to Snopes, NeonNettle.com cited an “interview” of Brad Pitt where he allegedly claimed that those who run Hollywood, run the United States as well. This article also mentioned the illuminati and the secret societies and about their amoral actions. The link, allegedly leading to the interview, is not working, but the interview is available in the archive materials of Snopes.

According to Snopes, content published on NeonNettle.com is often connected to conspiracy theories and fiction. The description of the webpage does not mention that the edition takes responsibility for the accuracy of the published materials.

The narrative that the secret societies and the ruling elites have roots in Hollywood can be found on Russian webpages as well: Angevine-russe.livejournal.com, proza.ru, yablor.ru, and pikabu.ru. Some of them link to the already non-existing interview published by NeonNettle.com, while others openly mention in the title that the story is fictitious and fake.
