On October 3, a short video (Reels) featuring a Georgian Dream banner was disseminated on Facebook. According to the video, the banner contains the following inscription: “Only by apologizing, kneeling, and surrendering towards Russia.”
The video showing the Georgian Dream banner has been altered and is being shared with a false description. The footage was filmed in Gori, near the Gori Fortress, between May 26th and David Guramishvili Streets. Myth Detector obtained photos and videos of the actual Georgian Dream election banner from this location, which reads: “Only with peace, dignity, and prosperity towards Europe.”
The video shows that it was filmed near the Gori Fortress.
It also shows the banner placed on a safety island between two roads, which matches the location near the Gori Fortress, between May 26th and David Guramishvili Streets.
In Google Earth Pro, a 2019 photo from the same location near the Gori Fortress is available, and the advertisement banner is also visible.
Myth Detector obtained photos and videos of the banner from this location, which clearly show that the Georgian Dream banner actually reads: “Only with peace, dignity, and prosperity towards Europe.”

Altered videos featuring Georgian Dream banners, which Myth Detector has verified, were also circulated on social media in September.
