On September 18, the Facebook account, Daat Tsabadze, known for regularly spreading disinformation, posted a photo with the following description: “On October 4, a peaceful overthrow is inevitable, you Georgian Dream supporters.” The photo presumably shows a participant in a pro-European protest with pink-dyed hair, wearing a T-shirt with the EU flag on it, and wrapped in the Georgian flag.

In the comments and shares, it is evident that some social media users believe the photo to be real. Others accuse the person depicted of disrespecting the national flag.

The photo disseminated by the fake account is AI-generated and is intended to discredit protest participants.
The fact that the photo was generated with artificial intelligence is noticeable even upon visual inspection. The image appears “smooth” – a characteristic of AI-generated pictures. Moreover, the accessories visible in the photo, such as the earring, piercing, and whistle, look disproportionate and unnatural. The skin also appears inconsistent – the beard blends into the skin.
